Montgomery County citizens volunteer in toy drive

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Many children received gifts for Christmas all thanks to some generous folks in their community Monday.

More than 600 children received new and gently-used toys from the Arms of Love Montgomery County Toy Drive. The toys were collected by firefighters, the Montgomery County Jail, and others in the community. Organizers say they're happy to help so many children.

"There are different church organizations here we have the jail, fire dept, and 100 private citizens volunteering to help children have Christmas," said Montgomery County Jailer, Eric Jones.

This was the 9th year for the Arms of Love Toy Drive.
