Morehead State University Police searching for man who grabbed student

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WKYT) - Morehead State University Police are searching for a man they say touched a student inappropriately as she was walking on campus.

Police say it was around 3:15PM Tuesday when a student walking near Allie Young Hall had a man approach her and begin asking questions. She said he while she was walking he touched her twice.

"She turned to him and said 'Don't touch me,' at that time he turned away from her and said something she couldn't understand and touched her on the behind," said Officer Jessica Harris with Morehead State University Police.

The student went straight to police and a campus alert was issued. Students walking in that same area on Wednesday say they were surprised when they saw the alert.

"That's kind of scary actually because I'm nervous about stuff like that anyways so normally I try to keep someone with me when I'm walking," said Elise Kinser.

Police say those students could be the ones to lead them to the man they're looking for.

"If they notice anything that seems out of place they need to take note of it and call us," Harris said.

Police say the man they're looking for is a white male approximately 50 years old, about six feet tall with a lanky build. He had salt and pepper hair, a mustache, goatee and an under bite. They say he was wearing a tan jogging suit with a green stripe on the arm. They ask that anyone with information in this case give Morehead police a call at 606-783-2035.
