Lexington police searching for two men after attempted robbery at gunpoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police are looking for two men after they say they tried to rob two other men at gunpoint Sunday night.

Police say it happened around 10 p.m. Sunday on Ward Drive.

Police say some men walking in the area were approached by two men who demanded belongings from the victims at gunpoint.

However, police say witnesses chased the suspects down. They were last seen heading toward Winburn Drive.

They're described as two black men in their early teens, both wearing black bandannas on their face. Witnesses say one was wearing a white shirt and khaki pants and it around 5'10". They say the other was around 5'8", wearing a black shirt and blue pants, we're told he had the gun.

No one was injured, and no items were taken in the attempted robbery.
