Police arrest drunk driver after he drives into Lexington home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police have arrested a man they say he drove his car into a home.

Police arrested Dominic Lewis around 3:30 a.m. Saturday after they say he took out a brick mailbox on Dogwood Trace, and ran into a second home across the street.

The impact took out the front tire of Lewis' car and police say it caused him to lose control and drive across a yard and into a home.

The house is not badly damaged but Lewis' car is totaled.

Lewis is charged with driving under the influence. He is currently lodged at the Fayette County Detention Center.
