Police arrest three in large heroin bust in Nicholasville

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - On Wednesday, members of the Nicholasville Police Department executed a search warrant at a home on Bass Pond Glen. Police were acting on information they had received while investigating a burglary case.

According to Nicholasville Police, they recovered at least one stolen item from that burglary. But, officers also found a large quantity of Heroin in the home. Investigators estimate the value of the Heroin at around $28,890 dollars street value.

They charged Scott Carroll, 53 years of age of Nicholasville, charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (heroin).

Anthony L. Dixon & Lamar Thornton, both 21 years of age from Detroit, Michigan, are charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree (heroin).

All three were transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center.
