Edgewood police chief's son killed in motorcycle wreck

VERONA, Ky. (AP) - A man killed in a northern Kentucky motorcycle wreck has been identified as the 22-year-old son of Edgewood Police Chief Tony Kramer and his wife, Penny.

The Boone County sheriff's office said the man killed Monday morning was Anthony J. Kramer of Erlanger, who was known as "A.J."

The Kentucky Enquirer reported that Edgewood Mayor John Link called for a moment of silence in memory of A.J. Kramer during the City Council meeting Monday night and asked those at the meeting to remember the family in their prayers.

Kramer died in a collision involving his motorcycle and a passenger car at U.S. 42 and South Fork Road in Verona. Kramer was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the car wasn't injured.
