Police investigate bomb threat at Bluegrass Airport

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A scary situation at the Bluegrass Airport after State Police received a call about a possible bomb threat Friday morning.

Kentucky State Police received a call about a possible bomb threat at the Bluegrass Airport. They were given no location for the suspected device or any other information about where it would be found.

Authorities had bomb sniffing dogs on the scene and searched the area for any signs of anything suspicious.

Police did not evacuate any part of the airport, but they tell us they followed all of the necessary procedures for this type of an investigation.

Officials with the Bluegrass Airport tell that everything has been resolved and they have searched the ground and did not find anything to cause alarm.

They tell us that it will continue to be an ongoing investigation.
