Police: Woman sustained minor injuries after Jeep rolled into creek

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A busy on-ramp was closed for several hours Sunday morning after a single vehicle accident in Lexington.

According to Lexington police a woman driving a Jeep was traveling on the ramp from Tates Creek to the inner loop of New Circle when she went off the right shoulder and rolled several times, landing right side up in the creek.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to UK Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the ramp will remain closed for a couple hours while crews work to remove the jeep from the creek and clean up fluid that spilled into it during the accident.
