Richmond store owner fears burglar will return

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Police in Richmond are still searching for a man they believe is behind several thefts. Thursday, they say, someone robbed the Babylon Market at gunpoint. They believe the same person broke into two other businesses Friday night.

"I'm just scared that he might come back," worries LP Liquor store owner Jackie Dixon, "anything with a lid on it was opened, gone through. Paperwork, just thrown everywhere behind the bar."

Police believe he's robbed the D&G Food Mart recently too. The manager says a masked man walked in, carrying a large knife, and forced her and the other employees to open both cash registers.

Dixon says the man stole close to $2,000 in guns, money, and alcohol from her business.

"It's pretty scary. Real scary because it's a small business. We don't make a lot of money, and then they turn around and take your liquor and your money, your guns, it hurts."

Police believe the man is 5'8" and of average build.
