LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Leaders at Lexington's Streets & Roads Division are keeping are a close eye on the weather and making plans to treat roads for the approaching storm.
The head of the department tells WKYT that Friday looks like the time when things could get bad on the roads, in terms of snow and ice. They've got more than 5,000 tons of salt waiting to be used at a moment's notice.
Falling rain delays the crews' efforts in trying to pre-treat Lexington streets. However, officials tell WKYT that all the city's nearly 50 salt trucks will be ready for whatever happens.
