LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - With just days 12 to Christmas, the Salvation Army is asking for your help to reach its goal for the annual Red Kettle campaign.
Salvation Army leaders say so far, the campaign has raised more than $188,000. That's down nearly $24,000 compared to the same time last year.
The Salvation Army thinks wintry weather, an initial lack of bell-ringers, and a shorter holiday season have all played roles in the decline.
You can donate directly to the red kettles through Christmas Eve and online through new year's eve.
