Snow causes little trouble in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Up to two inches of snow fell in Laurel county, but the wintry weather did not hamper travel.

Most of the main and side roads around the county are clear and passable as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office had to work a few minor accidents overnight but state police say they've had no weather related problems.

In fact the only slow downs people might face is because of the increased holiday patrols, with state police conducting a speed detail on I-75.

Snow has been falling off and on Wednesday morning in London, there is a possibility of a little more accumulation.

Local and state road crews are still salting the roads and expect to work through the evening.

The Laurel County emergency management director says the county received up to two inches of snow countywide and that they also did not have any problems.
