Third student arrested for arson on UK campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK Police arrested a third student in a campus arson case.

Jennings Kleeman, 18, is the third student arrested in the car fire at Commonwealth Stadium parking lot on UK's campus.

Last night police also arrested Cullen Gallaher, 18, and Ian Baughman, 19, in the arson case.

It all happened Wednesday night and officials say that an empty cardboard beer case was wedged under the bumper of a car and set on fire.

The fire was put out quickly and the car wasn't badly damaged.

The suspects were seen leaving the parking lot in a Saturn station wagon.

Police were able to make an arrest because of UK's high-tech camera system. There are more than 400 cameras across campus.

"Our new camera system that provides extensive coverage of campus was again instrumental in assisting us with the identification of suspects in solving this crime quickly," UK Police Chief, Joe Monroe, said.
