Three injured in officer-involved crash in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Three people are injured, including an officer, after a crash in Lexington.

The wreck happened just before 10 p.m. on Sunday night at the intersection of Winchester Road and Eastland Drive.

Lexington Police tell us they believe a driver turned in front of the officer, causing the crash.

Both drivers and a passenger were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The officer has since been released.

Collision reconstruction units remained on the scene for several hours investigating the accident.

The driver that police say caused the crash is still in the hospital and police say they will charged with DUI when released.
