GRAYSON, Ky. (AP) - A tour this month through some of eastern Kentucky's "distressed counties" will highlight Appalachian arts, crafts and culture.

Organizers told The Independent (http://bit.ly/19UUQHi) that the tour on Oct. 10-11 would venture through Carter, Elliott, Menifee, Wolfe and Morgan counties.

Foothills Eco-Agri Tourism is offering the tour and the group's treasurer, Michelle Wallace of Carter County, says it is a way to "share Appalachia with the rest of the world."

Wallace said participants will ride motor coach buses that will make several stops along the way including at art galleries, farms, wineries and museums.
