Toy drive underway in Middlesboro

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - The Cooperative Christian Ministry (CCM) group in Middlesboro is collecting toys and other items for more than 100 children.

They are collecting toys, sweatshirts, and pajamas for children ages 2-12 to give them for Christmas.

Organizers are accepting all kinds of toys but say right now they need Legos, balls, and educational toys.

They will start handing out the toys and clothing on December 15th.

"A lot of people's out of jobs. A lot of people can't afford to get the kids a lot, so we're trying to step up to do that to make the kids' Christmas better," said Ashley Witt.

Donations can be dropped off at the CCM location on Cumberland Avenue or the Middlesboro post office.
