Two injured in Wolfe County highway crash

Police think a blown tire caused a crash in eastern Kentucky that sent two people to the hospital.

WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police think a blown tire caused a crash in eastern Kentucky that sent two people to the hospital.

It happened just after three Tuesday afternoon on highway 15 near Campton in Wolfe County.

Police say George Holland, 23, was driving a GMC Yukon when a tire blew causing him to lose control and overturn.

Police say Holland was thrown from the SUV.

He was taken to UK Hospital police say his passenger Tina Land, 34, was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police say both have non-life threatening injuries.
