RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - When you run a car dealership, you expect to deal with some vandalism.
"We've had a little incident here and there," said Toyota South General Manager Charlie Johnson.
But this has managers seeing red.
"It's pretty severe," Johnson said.
Someone keyed More than forty cars at Toyota South in Richmond. Managers discovered the vandalism Sunday morning. Those cars now sit at an auto shop in Waco instead of on the lot to be sold.
"This is one of the most busy weeks of the year for us, the week between Christmas and New Years is a really big time and so it's a very bad time as well," Johnson said.
The initial estimate to get all these cars was $41,000, but managers say it'll probably go north of that.
"It's a large blow to us. It's very frustrating to my staff. It's very frustrating to me. But it's one of those things will just have to deal with," Johnson said.
They expect to have these cars back on the lot in the next week or two and maybe make up for some lost time.
"It stirs you but there are things like this that go on in the world and as anything in life we'll deal with it and we'll move forward," said Johnson.
