Victim of crash on Interstate 64 identified

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Fayette County Coroner has released the identity of a victim involved in a crash on Interstate 64 Friday afternoon.

According to Coroner's documents, Steven Krussel of Yorktown, Virginia died just an hour after getting into a wreck on I-64 in Lexington.

The crash is being investigated as an accident according to those documents.

The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. Friday near the 71 mile marker, close to the Fayette-Scott County line.

Police say the driver of a car heading westbound on I-64 somehow lost control, crossed the median, and hit another car heading east.

Four other people suffered serious injuries, according to police.

Their names and conditions have not been released.
