We have a few very nice weather days ahead of us here in central and eastern Kentucky. This will carry us into the start of the last weekend of 2013, but changes are brewing for the last few days of the year.
What does the nice weather mean? Plenty of sunshine will be noted for Friday and Saturday with highs into the 40s. Winds will gust up on Saturday and that may take our temp closer to 50 degrees.
Clouds will increase by the end of the day as low pressure works northward from the Gulf. This will bring chilly showers our way for Sunday with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. A big temp drop is on the way for Sunday night as arctic air sweeps in from the northwest.
A band of light snow looks likely for Monday as highs return to the 20s. This will set the stage for a cold New Year's week and we should see a few more snow chances blowing our way.
