Watching the storm threat for the weekend

Our weekend is starting off on a very nice note across the bluegrass state. Temps tonight will drop back into the upper 50s with a small chance for a popup shower or storm.

The threat for scattered showers and storms will increase as we roll into the weekend. The best chance for storms will come Sunday as moisture from the Gulf of Mexico moves in. Locally heavy downpours will be possible with the storms that go up.

The overall pattern into next week looks much more like August. We will have warm and humid air in place with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. A daily threat for a shower or storm will be with us.
