Woman rescued after crashing into Kentucky River

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - First responders rescue a woman after she crashed into the Kentucky River.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says rescuers found Tina Johnson, 57, inside her SUV after it crashed over a 30-foot embankment Saturday night.

We're told she was driving from Lexington to Ashland, and ended up on Poosey Ridge Road. Police began looking for her after a person called and said they'd seen a car go down the road toward the river, and didn't come back.

We're told Johnson was not seriously injured.
