Why don't any of us who installed a metal roof and a very efficient wood burning stove in 2008 qualify for any tax breaks?! I was too forward a thinker...?

We can hardly believe what we just read. Why in the world would congress decide to skip a year (2008) when extending the rebates? This is exactly why we don't gamble - we have the worst luck. Of course, by now you can guess that we put a new Energy Star roof on our home in 2008. We feel that the government has cheated us out of $500.
