Increasing Toilet Paper Sales Are Wiping Out Forests
Sales of luxury toilet paper, like ultra soft and quilted brands, have increased nearly 40 percent over the last year. More tree fiber is needed to manufacture the better tissue and is causing massive deforestation.

Amen to the first post, hemp would save a lot of resource. It wouldn't be no problem in regulating it, just do it how they do tobacco growers.

You have got to be kidding. The number one additive to soft toilet paper is AIR and a softening agent. This is just another Cheryl Crow moment. I can see it now. Toilet paper rationing in public schools and Poster contest to brainwash children into feeling guilty for wiping their butts. Environmentalist need a new hobby.

The first things that should be considered by the environmentalists should be the things that we do for the fun of it. Like keeping lawns, racing, touristic activity, christmas activities like light displays and travel, riding 4-wheelers in forests for the fun of it, joyrides, house deodorants that use electricity for dispersal. There are many other activities that are detrimental to the environment that are for the fun of it that should be rooted out before we go after the activities that are plainly beneficial to us as consumers and to our economy.

If hemp was legal it would solve a lot of problems. It grows much faster, and can be used for almost anything. And no you can't get high off of hemp, well you can but it would take LOTS and LOTS of it do so.
