Clark Energy, partnered with Ideal Homebuilders of Lexington, spent this Earth Day making one Montgomery County home more energy efficient.

Clark Energy plans to weatherize up to 10 homes in the area chosen with the help of the local Community Council office. It is a part of a pilot project that strives to invest in energy efficiency.

Matt Fiscus, Vice President of Ideal Homebuilders, says, " We've be able to see low insulation levels, leaky duct work, and problems in crawl spaces that increase homeowners utility usage."

Fiscus encourages all homeowners to take steps to weatherize every home. Caulking around fireplaces and in drafty areas such as attics and crawl spaces will significantly reduce energy bills.
