Largest Ever Girl Scout Recycling Program
On Girl Scouts’ 99th anniversary, Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council is sponsoring a Go Green initiative in the largest recycling program to date!

On Girl Scouts’ 99th anniversary, Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council is sponsoring a Go Green initiative in the largest recycling program to date!

In partnership with Global Environmental Services, Bluegrass PRIDE, and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, Girl Scouts is hosting a Council wide electronic recycling event.

Saturday March 19, from 10AM-2PM

Global Environmental Service trucks will be parked in the KHSAA parking lot on 2280 Executive Drive, Lexington KY.

Bluegrass PRIDE will be creating environmentally minded art projects with the kids.

Girl Scouts will be accepting donations for Operation: Cookie Drop, and troops can recycle their cookie cases.

Susan Miller, Program Services Director for the Girl Scout Council remarks that “this is going to be a very busy day for the Girl Scout Council and we’re dedicated to guiding the next generation of environmentally responsible leaders.”

The Girl Scout Service Center will be open and it is the last weekend of the Cookie Sale. Girl Scout troops will also be bringing Operation: Cookie Drop Cookies to be donated to the military.

Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council extends over 67 counties delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to over 19,000 girls with the help of over 4,000 volunteers.
