Bench brigade comes through for Cats in win over SC

Minus De'Aaron Fox and with Isaiah Briscoe struggling, the Wildcats still managed to beat South Carolina, thanks to a pair of seniors, coming off the bench.

Treshaad Williams scored 22 points and grabbed seven boards as Morehead State notched its third-straight win, drubbing Eastern Kentucky 80-54 on Saturday night.

Kentucky point guard De'Aaron Fox left the game in the first half with an ankle injury. After going to the locker room, he returned to the bench wearing a walking boot.

Tony Hicks led Louisville (16-4, 4-3) with 16 points while Mangok Mathiang added 13 and Deng Adel 12.

The Kentucky men’s basketball game at Florida on Feb. 4 has been set for an 8:15 p.m. ET tip-off on ESPN.
