Kentucky Using Patchwork Offensive Line To Protect Woodson

LEXINGTON - Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson is looking like one of the best in the nation. His improbable rise has been made possible by a more improbable group of offensive linemen.

Kentucky's line was the only questionable part of the offense at the beginning of the season. It's a patchwork group that includes a former defensive tackle who is now a guard, a guard who is now a center and a tight end who is now a tackle.

But it's working, as players from the unit have won the Southeastern Conference's player of the week award three times through the first four weeks.

Tackle Justin Jeffries switched over from defense. He says they don't like to see dirt or grass stains on Woodson's uniform.
