Teuflesberg out of surgery, doing well

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Former Kentucky Derby horse Teuflesberg is
resting comfortably after having surgery to fuse bones in his left
front foot.
Teuflesberg suffered the injury while running in the Phoenix
Handicap at Keeneland on Saturday.
Equine orthopedic surgeon Larry Bramlage said it's too early to
know the horse's long-term prognosis.
Bramlage said the injury will take about two months to heal.
Teuflesberg will spend about a month in the hospital. The gelding
finished in 17th-place behind Street Sense in this year's Derby.
