LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - It was another upset win at Keeneland for "Five Star Thief," who raced to beat Sinners N Saints by a nose in the Circle O Purse.
The four-year-old son of "Cat Thief," ridden by James Lopez, covered the mile and an eighth in 1:49.34 as a 15-1 outsider in the field of nine three-year-olds and older.
"Sinners N Saints" closed fast and finished a neck in front of "Rey Del Sol."
The winner also won a seven-furlong sprint two weeks ago and paid $105.20.
On Wednesday, he paid $32.40, $12 and $8. Sinners N Saints returned $5.60 and $3.80, while Rey Del Sol paid $4.80.
It was Five Star Thief's fifth win in 13 starts, increasing his career earnings to $165 thousand.
