LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie's predecessor Tubby Smith was sometimes criticized for a sluggish tempo.

Gillispie says the Wildcats' game pace will be as swift as his personnel will allow this season.

With a guard-heavy lineup and few returning frontcourt scorers, this Wildcats team should live or die with speed.

Gillispie will get a chance to unveil the new-look Wildcats tonight when Number-20 Kentucky hosts Central Arkansas in the opening round of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic at Rupp Arena.
