MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Murray State basketball coach Billy Kennedy says his team is much further along this year and that it's just a matter of improving their style of play.
Kennedy took over a Racers' program, last season, that had been drained by graduation and transfers after the departure of previous coach Mick Cronin.
The Racers were one of the top defensive teams in the OVC last year, but the coach isn't quite sold on his team's ability to stop people.
Kennedy says that though the Racers led in most categories defensively, they still weren't a dominating team.
