JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - Andrew Reed's 17 points and 8
rebounds helped ETSU to a 76-56 win over Eastern Kentucky in the
Buccaneers home opener on Saturday.
Reed was one of four ETSU players in double digits as East
Tennessee shot 58 percent from the floor and held Eastern Kentucky
to just 33 percent.
The Colonels, defending Ohio Valley Conference tournament
champions, hit a string of three-pointers to lead 9-8 three minutes
into the game, but ETSU grabbed the lead less than a minute later
and never trailed after that.
Courtney Pigram scored 16, Kevin Tiggs added 14 and Kenyona
Swader added another 10 with 8 rebounds for the Buccaneers.
Mike Rose led the Colonels with 13 points followed by Josh
Daniel and Josh Taylor with 12 each. Harrison Brown added another
