Lexington Catholic defensive back/quarterback/wide receiver Winston Guy has given a verbal commitment to play football at Kentucky. Guy, who committed to Arkansas earlier this year, reopened his recruitment this fall.

Guy, a 6-foot-2, 190 lb. senior, was a starter on the 2005 state championship team and has led the Knights to this year's region title.
Last Friday, Guy helped Catholic to a 36-16 win at Bell Co.

Lexington Catholic travels to Harrison Co. this Friday.

UK also got a commitment from Henry Clay defensive end Michael Gardner. The track standout, who has played just one year of football, will be a preferred walk-on for the Wildcats. Gardner also plays basketball for the Blue Devils.

Gardner is a 6-foot-5, 210 lb. senior and is projected as an outside linebacker in college.
