Cats' trip to Freedom Hall includes open practice Friday

UK will open the Freedom Hall doors on Friday, giving Wildcat fans an opportunity to watch the team practice in preparation for Saturday’s game against UAB.

Coach Billy Gillispie said Thurdsay he wanted to give the fans in Louisville every chance to see his Wildcats. “They said it used to be a tradition and I like those kinds of things. We’re not going to practice much. We’re going to shoot around for a little bit. We’re going to do our practice here and shoot around up there. It’ll be good to see some fans and see some of the fans mingle with some of the players.”

Kentucky fans are welcome to come and watch the Wildcats from 5:45-6:30 p.m. Friday.
