One of the signs that your football program is successful is having other prorgams trying to hire away assistant coaches. Rich Brooks now is losing another.

Defensive backs coach David Lockwood is leaving the UK staff and is joining new West Virginia coach Bill Stewart's staff. Lockwood is a WVU alum.

This is Lockwood's second tour of duty as an assistant with the Mountaineers. He spent the 2000 season coaching the defensive backs in Morgantown, the same position he held at UK

Last year, Brooks lost defensive coordinator Mick Acher, who was hired at North Carolina State and Ron Caragher, who is now the head coach at San Diego.
