Football Wildcats pick up another verbal commitment

Rich Brooks has picked up another verbal commitment. Leesburg (FL) linebacker Danny Trevathan made an official visit to UK over the weekend and said he would sign with the Wildcats on NCAA Signing Day, Feb. 6.

Trevathan, 6-foot-2, 215 lbs., was the Orlando Sentinel’s Defensive Player of the Year. The player committed to UK defensive line coach Rick Petri, who made a follow-up recruiting visit Wednesday.

Trevathan finished the past season with 117 tackles and 5.5 quarterback sacks. He chose the Cats over Ole Miss, Purdue, Central Florida, Arkansas and Auburn.
