LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky guards Derrick Jasper and Jodie
Meeks are practicing in a limited role, but their status for
Saturday's game at Florida remains up in the air.
Both players sat out Kentucky's 69-64 loss at Mississippi State
on Tuesday. Jasper is recovering from a sprained left knee while
Meeks is dealing with a strained hip flexor.
Gillispie said Friday that he's not worried about his team's
ability to compete without two of their most established players.
He credited the Wildcats for hanging in against the Bulldogs, and
thinks they should have a chance against the Gators.
Florida (15-3, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) has won six straight
against the Wildcats (7-8, 1-1), a statistic Gillispie said his
players should just forget once they step on the floor.
