Reds Sign Affeldt

CINCINNATI (AP) - Pitcher Jeremy Affeldt (A'-fehlt) and the
Cincinnati Reds have finalized their 3-million-dollar, one-year
contract.
Affeldt has experience as both a starter and reliever and can
make another 1 million dollars in performance bonuses, based on
starts and innings.
He relieved for the National league champion Rockies last season
and pitched in all four games of the World Series when Colorado was
swept by the Boston Red Sox. The 28-year-old was with the Kansas
City Royals from 2002-06.
The Rockies got Affeldt in a July 2006 trade. He went 4-and-3
with a 3.51 ERA last year when he earned 1.25 million bucks.
