The University of Kentucky football program hosted its annual Pro Day on Wednesday and representatives from 25 NFL teams were on hand to see Wildcat underclassmen and outgoing seniors work out at UK’s Nutter Fieldhouse.
Quarterback Andre’ Woodson didn’t throw at last month’s NFL Combine, but did so today. Former Tampa Bay quarterbacks coach Paul Hackett instructed Woodson on a series of throws. Former Cats Jacob Tamme, Keenan Burton and Steve Johnson ran routes and caught passes from Woodson.
The day began early – before 9 a.m., when the younger Cats were timed in the 40-yard dash. Running backs Derrick Locke and Alfonso Smith were clocked under 4.3 seconds.
Rich Brooks called it a “good day for Kentucky football.”
