UNDATED (AP) - March Madness is in full swing.
Top-seeded Kansas romped to an 85-61 victory over a Portland
State team that was making its first NCAA tournament appearance.
Brandon Rush led the Jayhawks into the second round of the Midwest
Regional with an 18-point performance in Omaha. UNLV and Kent State
are playing for the right to meet Kansas on Saturday.
Michigan State ousted Temple from the tournament with a 72-61
victory in the first round of the South Regional in Denver. Raymar
Morgan led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points. The Spartans
will play the Pittsburgh-Oral Roberts winner on Saturday.
Xavier rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit to pin a
73-61 loss on Georgia. Super-sub Josh Duncan scored 20 points and
Derrick Brown had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Musketeers, who
play the winner of today's game between Purdue and Baylor the day
