Reds Win Spring Training Finale'

SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - Javier Valentin hit a three-run homer,
leading the Cincinnati Reds to an 8-4 victory today over the Tampa
Bay Rays in the spring training finale for both teams.
Johnny Cueto pitched four innings for the Reds, allowing five
hits and three runs. He walked three and struck out seven.
The Reds finished 17-15-1, their fifth consecutive winning
spring and first under new manager Dusty Baker. They also ended
with relatively few injuries.
Tampa Bay finished 18-8-2, its best mark ever in exhibition
play.
