Congratulations Landon. You have made all of us in Eastern Kentucky very proud and with you going to UK I feel it will open the door to future athletes as well. I've watched you many times over the course of your career and knew you would make your dream of wearing the UK Blue and White come true. Landon is a player and works extremely hard, best of luck to you and UK Wildcats next season. I'll be there in Rupp Arena along with 25,000 others the first time to hear you being introduced into the Kentucky basketball family. My best advice is to enjoy these next 4 years because once you've had the jersey with Kentucky written across the chest on your life will change for good. You are entering an elite fraternity, congrats buddy.

Way to go Landon! Being your great uncle out west in San Antonio TX, I've only seen you play a couple of times. Way to go kid--with your drive, maturity and skills I know you'll acquit yourself in outstanding fashion. Know your mom is excited--your grandmother, Shelby(my sister), just called to tell me the news and is she estatic--she's searching for Big Blue season tickets. Just listened to your interview--with the love you have for basketball in general and Kentucky basketball in particular, you have the heart to make it big. We are hosting our third Final Four here this weekend and bidding for others. My dream is that you and the Big Blue will make a return appearance.

I wonder if Clark Stepp will follow Slone to UK? I read on a few message boards that he might walk on down there as well. It would be something seeing two mountain kids suit up for the Wildcats.

I am so happy for you Landon. It seems like only yesterday you and Jeremy were playing Jr Pro Basketball at the Denzil "Hoss" Halbert gym here in the city of Martin. I loved coaching you kids. Thanks to UK coach Billy G! A Kentucky player is just what KY Wildcats need. May God bless you!

I saw him play in the state tourney and he was pretty good. Surprised he was offered a walk on with UK. He seemed to be dominant because he was the tallest guy on the floor. Interesting to see how he does with guys as tall or taller. I thought Grimm was much better.
