Hopson commits to Tennessee

27 SportsFirst has learned that University Heights forward Scotty Hopson has given a verbal commitment to Bruce Pearl and Tennessee. The 6-foot-7 Hopson had committed to Mississippi State last summer, but reopened his recruitment during this past season.

Hopson averaged 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Blazers, who finished the season 30-5. UHeights lost to Lexington Catholic in the opening game of the Boys' Sweet 16.

Hopson was named a McDonald's and Parade Magazine All-American.
