Georgetown's Osborne Interviewing For Div. 1 Opening

The Georgetown News-Graphic is reporting Georgetown College basketball head coach Happy Osborne will interview for the same position at Centenary College in Shreveport, La., at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

"It's a chance at a Division I job," Osborne told the newspaper. "The thing that's attractive is that they are interested in us. They called us."

Centenary announced March 14 that the school would not renew the contract of previous coach Rob Flaska, who went 26-65 during his three seasons at the head of the program.

Centenary competes in the Summit League, formerly called the Mid-Continent Conference.

"If I do get an offer, the decision to leave will be one of the toughest decisions I ever have to make. As much as I love Georgetown College, I love being in this community more," Osborne told the newspaper.
