WKU Expects New Coach In Two Weeks

BOWLING GREEN -- Western Kentucky Athletic Director Wood Selig isn't wasting any time looking for someone to replace former basketball coach Darrin Horn. Selig said he's already spoken to several people high on the list to replace Horn, who left on Tuesday to become the head coach at South Carolina.
"We're not caught flat-footed, we're not unprepared," Selig said. "We're very quickly and nicely moving forward with our process. We've had contact with individuals who are very high on our list, and there is a mutual interest."

Selig said he hopes to introduce Horn's replacement sometime within the next two weeks. Selig declined to offer any names in association with the opening.

"We feel that we have got a very good handle on this situation, and we can get it done on our own," Selig said.
