Murray Thoroughbreds Drop 17-14 Slugfest To Memphis

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - A season's best 18 hits went to waste as Murray State's baseball team lost to Memphis, 17-14.

The Thoroughbreds and Tigers combined for 35 hits in yesterday's game.

Murray scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and had the bases loaded with the tying run on first when Matt Hon grounded out to end the game.

The Thoroughbreds' Zach Noonan had a double, home run and four RBI in the game.
