EKU sets spring game for Sunday

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University football team will conclude its 2008 spring practice schedule Sunday, April 27, with the annual Spring Game. The Colonel offense (white team) will challenge the Colonel defense (maroon team) at Roy Kidd Stadium beginning at 4 p.m.

Admission to the EKU Spring Game is FREE to all fans. Colonel supporters can receive a complimentary T-shirt while supplies last. There will also be inflatables for the children along with 2008 EKU football ticket information available at the spring game. Following the game, the Colonels will hold a 2007 OVC championship ring ceremony and conclude the spring season with a celebratory cook-out. Fans can join the team at the cook-out for $5 per person (limited number of tickets available).

Eastern Kentucky finished the 2007 season 9-3 overall and 8-0 in the OVC to earn the program’s 19th conference title. The Colonels advanced to the NCAA Division I FCS playoffs for a record 18th time and posted a winning record for the 30th consecutive year.
