Bengals chose USC linebacker with first pick

NEW YORK (AP) - The Cincinnati Bengals have chosen Keith Rivers
with the ninth pick in the NFL draft.
Rivers appears to be the "stud" in this group of available
linebackers. His most productive year was as a junior, finishing
with 85 tackles, 7 1-2 for loss, two sacks and three forced
fumbles. Rivers was bothered by a right ankle sprain as a senior,
ending the season with 78 tackles, five for loss and three fumble
recoveries before undergoing surgery on the ankle after the season.
The 6-foot-2, 241-pound Rivers has an incredibly-sculpted body
and the speed to match. He hits hard and will flatten running
backs. He's also exceptional in passing situations, picking up
screens and covering a lot of ground while showing good tackling
