Albers combined to hold Vanderbilt to eight hits in a 6-2 Kentucky
The Wildcats (32-11, 10-10 SEC) scored three runs in the top of
the third to take a 3-0 lead on the home team. Chris McClendon had
an RBI single and Ryan Wilkes added a two-run triple off of
Vanderbilt starter Caleb Cotham.
Kentucky added a run in the fourth on an infield RBI single by
Collin Cowgill. The Wildcats added two more runs in the fifth on
RBI singles by Wade and Keenan Wiley to make it 6-0.
The Commodores (31-12, 11-8) got on the board in the fifth on
Alex Feinberg's sacrifice fly with the bases loaded. Vanderbilt
added another run in the sixth on Shea Robin's RBI double.
